‘Paint The K’ to kick off homecoming week

The Flash Activities Board (FAB) will be painting the K in Risman Plaza on Monday Sept. 16 at 5 p.m. to celebrate the beginning of homecoming week.

Since FAB started in 2017, the group has painted the K blue to every year for Kent State’s homecoming.

Macey Bahlow, the director of late night programming for FAB said painting the K is a way for them to let people know who they are and what they do.

“Especially during homecoming week,” Bahlow said. “We have so many fun things planned and it’s a really good way of letting people know what’s going on around campus and also just bringing the Kent community together.”

FAB will be providing all the supplies and there’s no sign up needed to participate.

After the event, there will be a 90’s themed FlashBash from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. in Risman Plaza where students can roller skate, eat snacks and jump on bounce houses.
