Kent State football won its first game of the season, beating Central Connecticut State 38-10.
The Flashes are now 1-2 overall, and CCSU is 1-2.
The KSU defense dominated, allowing 50 yards passing and forcing two interceptions.
Kent State had four rushing touchdowns on the day, one coming from quarterback Mike Alaimo and running back Jaylen Thomas and two from Gavin Garcia.
Garcia had 125 yards rushing on 21 attempts in addition to his touchdowns.
Alaimo won his first game as starting quarterback for the Flashes, as he threw for 172 yards and a touchdown on 12-16 passing.
KSU had 467 yards, with 295 coming on the ground and 172 through the air.
The Flashes next game will be at Fresno State on Sept. 23 at 10:30 p.m.
