Meet the Staff
KentWired Editors
Isabella Schreck: Izzy is in her third semester as Editor-in-Chief. She is a junior journalism and English double major who loves reading, writing, talking — and most importantly, asking a lot of questions. She previously was Sports Editor and a sports and general assignment reporter. She loves learning about other peoples’ stories and is grateful for the opportunity to share them with the public!
Anthony Zacharyasz: Anthony is a senior journalism major with a business minor in his fifth semester at KentWired, serving as the managing editor for the spring semester. Previously, he was a reporter and general assignment editor where plenty of communication, leadership and writing skills were put to the test. Additionally, he is a part of TV2, as an anchor and segment anchor paving the way for multimedia opportunities. He enjoys writing about politics at all levels, business environments and financial matters.
Kelsie Horner: Kelsie is a senior journalism major with a minor in communications. In her three semesters at KentWired, she has served as a Digital Tech, Digital Editor and Assistant Managing Editor.
Emily Yanchak: Emily is a sophomore fashion merchandising student with minors in marketing and sustainability. She is the Digital Editor for the 2024 spring semester. In her free time, she reads, crochets, and journals. Outside of KentWired, she is a student ambassador for the Rustbelt Fibershed, and she’s a tour guide at the KSU museum. In the future, she hopes to work for an outdoor clothing company to help make their brand and values more sustainable.
Taina Rivera: Taina is Social Media Director. Taina is a senior marketing major with a public relations minor. She loves to connect with people over social media and share KentWired content with the community.
Casey Schroth: Casey is a junior marketing major, this is her first year with KentWired and serving as the assistant digital/social media editor. Casey is apart of the Ultimate Frisbee team here at Kent State. Casey enjoys posting and making new content for the KentWired socials.
Addison Foreman: Addison is a junior journalism major minoring in creative writing and political science. She enjoys writing about politics, government and current events. She also loves reading and hanging out with her cat.
Annalexis Davis: Annalexis is Campus Editor. She is an aspiring journalist with a passion for bringing investigative journalism to local stories. She enjoys riding motorcycles, reading biographies and exploring national parks.
Molly Hoffer: Molly is a Campus Editor and a senior majoring in journalism and creative writing. She has served as a digital tech and a general assignment reporter in prior semesters. She is passionate about writing and enjoys covering stories about current events and things happening around the community.
Janson McNair: Janson is Assistant Photo Editor. Janson is a senior journalism major and trumpet section leader for the Marching Golden Flashes. He enjoys observing and documenting the world through photography.
Alton Northup: Alton Northup is a junior majoring in journalism. This is his first semester as a campus editor, and he is excited to welcome new reporters to KentWired. He previously worked as a staff reporter. This past summer, he interned for The Chautauquan Daily in western New York.
Audrey Trevarthan: Audrey is Digital Content Assistant. She is a junior journalism student with a passion for opinion writing and digital content.
Jacob Shondel: Jacob is Sports Editor. Jacob is a senior journalism major. He enjoys writing about sports and has previously covered women’s lacrosse and soccer.
Aden Graves: Aden is a junior majoring in journalism and communication studies and is co-opinion editor and a class reporter. This is his second year working for KentWired, and he has served as social media assistant, general assignment reporter, opinion writer and digital tech. He enjoys writing about the arts, entertainment and current issues.
Matthew Brown: Matthew is Photo Editor. He is a junior photography major who has a passion for photography and traveling.
Yasmeen Matthews: Yasmeen is a sophomore Photography Major and KentWired’s Assistant Photo Editor. She enjoys taking photos of the various sports teams as well as student life on Kent’s campus.
Savana Capp: Savana is a sophomore journalism major with an English minor and the print planner for KentWired this semester. Previously, she was a reporter and general assignment editor. She enjoys writing about important things going on around campus and student life. In her free time, she loves reading, journaling and crocheting.
Hannah Saadey: Hannah Saadey is a senior Visual Communication Design major. Aside from being the Design Editor for KentWired, she is also the Creative Director for Brainchild Magazine and the treasurer of the AIGA Kent State Chapter. She loves to surround herself with creative people and learn all she can!
Anneliese White: Anneliese is a third-year journalism major with a double minor in public relations and vocal performance. She is entering her second semester as Copy Desk Chief for KentWired. Outside of KentWired, she works at the Kent State Writing Commons.
Emma Kiko: Emma is the events calendar editor at Kentwired and a digital media production senior.
TV2 Board
Nuried Hurtado: Nuried is the General Manager. She is a junior journalism student with double minor in digital media production and public relations. She has been working with TV2 since Fall 2021 and has covered many different stories, such as the Jaden Smith Q&A event, Daisy Pop’s new storefront and the International Homecoming. Nuried has been in many different positions, and she loves the community TV2 gave her and the friends she made working with us.
Sydney Brown: As a sophomore journalism major and eager storyteller, Sydney is TV2’s current News Director. She has worked for TV2 as a Reporter and Anchor for TV2 News and as lead reporter for TV2’s Hollywood entertainment show- The Blurb. At Cleveland’s Own FOX 8, Sydney interned on their lifestyle and entertainment show, New Day Cleveland, where she discovered how local media coverage can make a true impact. Sydney enjoys connecting with people in Portage County to tell their stories visually to create a closer community.
Micah Beck: Micah is a junior studying Digital Media Production. Throughout his time at TV2, he has worked as an Associate Producer and videographer for newscasts, Producer and Associate Producer for The Agenda, Designer for KentCore, and now currently serves as the Entertainment Executive Producer for TV2. He can often be seen around campus holding a camera, doing videography for the Division of Student Life and TeleProductions. Fun fact: You can also see Micah throwing frisbees around campus as he is a part of the Kent State Ultimate Frisbee team.
Cameron Martell: Cameron is a a 4th year DMP student. He is the Assistant Production Manager for TV2.
Gabe Collura: Gabe is Sports Director. He is a senior majoring in journalism with a minor in sports administration. Gabe enjoys TV2 because it gives him the opportunity to cover sports in and around the Kent State campus, and it gives him real world experience in the field of sports journalism. He is also the play-by-play voice of the Kent State D1 Club Hockey team.
Anthony Furiga:Anthony Furiga is a Senior Digital Media Production student with minors in both Advertising & Broadcast Engineering Technology. This is now his 6th semester with TV2 and Kentwired. His favorite movie is Up, and his favorite color is yellow.
Jenn Lomman: Jennifer is the TV2 Production Manager and has been a member of TV2 since 2021, fulfilling all positions in the studio that she could. She is a senior studying Digital Media Production, with a minor in Business. She also works as a Master Control Operator, an employee in the Student Resource Lab, and is the President of the National Honor Fraternity Phi Sigma Pi. chapter at Kent State.
