Meet the Staff

KentWired Editors

Isabella Schreck: Izzy is in her second semester as Editor-in-Chief. She is a junior journalism major who loves reading, writing, talking — and most importantly, asking a lot of questions. She previously was Sports Editor and a sports and general assignment reporter. She loves learning about other peoples’ stories and is grateful for the opportunity to share them with the public!

Grace Springer: Grace is Managing Editor. She is a senior journalism major with minors in communication studies and media advocacy. Grace started as a reporter for KentWired and covered executive administration. Grace was General Assignment Editor in spring 2023 and became Editor-in-Chief in summer 2023.

Kelsie Horner: Kelsie is Digital Content Director. She is a senior studying journalism, with a minor in communications and is a member of the Honors College and Alpha Lambda Delta Honors Society. In her free time, Kelsie enjoys playing sand volleyball, reading and visiting coffee shops.

Audrey Trevarthan: Audrey is Digital Content Assistant. She is a junior journalism student with a passion for opinion writing and digital content.

Taina Rivera: Taina is Social Media Director. Taina is a senior marketing major with a public relations minor. She loves to connect with people over social media and share KentWired content with the community.

Emily Yanchak: Emily is Social Media Assistant. She is a sophomore fashion merchandising major.

Savana Capp: Savana is General Assignment Co-Editor. She is a journalism major and started as a reporter for KentWired covering anything interesting happening on campus.

Anthony Zacharyasz: Anthony is a senior journalism major/business minor in his fourth semester at KentWired. He serves as a co-General Assignment Editor for the fall 2023 semester. Previously, Anthony was a reporter, where he built relationships and networks that drove his passion to write on political and hard news subjects. He also works with TV2, the student-ran television station at Kent State.

Leah Shepard: Leah is Team Editor. She is a junior double major in journalism and Spanish who also works as a staff writer and editor for Luna Negra, Kent State’s literary magazine. Leah is a Kent native and is passionate about history, social movements and politics.

Grace Davies: Grace is a Campus Editor.

Annalexis Davis: Annalexis is Campus Editor. She is an aspiring journalist with a passion for bringing investigative journalism to local stories. She enjoys riding motorcycles, reading biographies and exploring national parks.

Jacob Shondel: Jacob is Sports Editor. Jacob is a senior journalism major. He enjoys writing about sports and has previously covered women’s lacrosse and soccer.

Grace Clarke: Grace is Opinion Editor.

Matthew Brown: Matthew is Photo Editor. He is a junior photography major who has a passion for photography and traveling.

Janson McNair: Janson is Assistant Photo Editor. Janson is a senior journalism major and trumpet section leader for the Marching Golden Flashes. He enjoys observing and documenting the world through photography.

Anneliese White: Anneliese is Copy Desk Chief. She is a junior journalism major with a vocal performance minor. She loves listening to music, reading and going to cafés when she can. Copy editing is something Anneliese is very passionate about and would love to pursue it as a career someday.

Emma Kiko: Emma is Events Calendar Editor.

TV2 Board

Nuried Hurtado: Nuried is the General Manager. She is a junior journalism student with double minor in digital media production and public relations. She has been working with TV2 since Fall 2021 and has covered many different stories, such as the Jaden Smith Q&A event, Daisy Pop’s new storefront and the International Homecoming. Nuried has been in many different positions, and she loves the community TV2 gave her and the friends she made working with us.

Kennedy Gotham: Kennedy is News Director. She is a senior majoring in Journalism.

Gabe Collura: Gabe is Sports Director. He is a senior majoring in journalism with a minor in sports administration. Gabe enjoys TV2 because it gives him the opportunity to cover sports in and around the Kent State campus, and it gives him real world experience in the field of sports journalism. He is also the play-by-play voice of the Kent State D1 Club Hockey team.

Anthony Furiga: Anthony is Entertainment Director. He is a junior digital media production major with a minor in advertising. He works in almost every field of TV2 — from entertainment to news to tech. Anthony loves the community and environment at TV2 and uses it as a valuable tool to develop his skills for work after college.

Jenn Lomman: Jenn is Operations Manager. She is a senior with a major in digital media production and a minor in Business. She joined TV2 when she first started at Kent State in 2021. She has had the time of her life meeting new friends, making new connections and contributing to the content creation/tech developments TV2 has made and accomplished in the past semesters. Jenn is excited to see what this semester will hold for TV2 and is grateful to be apart of the board!
