Junior Baidy Ba earned back-to-back All-MAC First Team honors, repeating his efforts from last year at the Mid-American Conference Cross Country Championships.
He is the first to accomplish back-to-back All-MAC First Team honors since Michael Heller did it in 2011 and 2012.
Ba also finished in fourth place with a time of 24:12.1 for the men’s 8K.
Some of the other top finishers for the Kent State men include senior Ethan Yost (25:06.5), sophomore Dylan McBride (25:11.6), and senior Jacob Mirabell (25:32.9).
All three of them finished in the top 50. Yost finished in 27th, while McBride followed close behind in 28th place. Mirabell finished in 44th place.
The men’s team finished in sixth.
Looking at the women’s team, junior Ariana Manos was the first Flash across the finish line. She ran a time of 22:35.6 in the 6K, placing 62nd place.
The following two ladies for the Flashes across the finish line were junior Sydney Gallagher and freshman Ella McCollom.
Gallagher ran a time of 22:41.5 for 65th place.
McCollom ran a time of 22:50.5 for 70th place, earning a new personal best.
The women’s team finished 12th.
The next meet will be at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional on Nov. 10. This meet will be held at the Zimmer Championship Course in Madison, Wisconsin.
