A storm that hit Kent late Sunday night separated a piece of metal roofing from the Kent State Facilities Management location on Summit Street. The piece of roofing was blown into a nearby parking lot and damaged some cars said Eric Mansfield, Executive Director of University Media Relations.

Multiple cars in the parking lots near Dix Stadium were damaged, he said. No power outages or injuries were reported and the damage won’t have any impact on the events of the first week of classes, which begin Thursday.
