An old metro bus is getting a new life thanks to an Akron non-profit organization.
Forever R Children volunteers to feed hungry children and families in Summit County. One day when they were giving out food, a man said, “Man, I just want to be able to take a shower,” and this idea of a shower on wheels was born.
Akron Metro donated the old bus, and the city of Akron agreed to allow the group to use city water and sewage free of charge.
With November being National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness month, TV2 Reporter Alexandria Manthey highlights how this unusual project could be a turning point for someone in need.
