Kent State redshirt junior TJ Lawson is now a member of the 2019 Google Cloud All America Men’s Track & Field/Cross Country Third Team.

Lawson was named to this team in recognition for his accomplishments both on and off the field. He had an amazing year in 2019 as he was named USTFCCCA Great Lakes Region Men’s Field Athlete of the Year.

He won MAC conference titles in the heptathlon and decathlon events this past season. Lawson also competed in the decathlon at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships for the third consecutive season.

Lawson is currently pursuing a double major in sports administration and business management. He currently has a 3.78 cumulative grade point average.
