Police responded to a residence at 1323 S. Water St. after someone reported hearing gunshots and screams on Nov. 22, according to a press release from the department. There, officers found a 35-year-old woman shot and killed.
Kent police have a warrant on the charge of aggravated murder for 44-year-old Dawan R. Wilson, who had a domestic relationship with the victim, according to the release.
“We know that he is armed and dangerous, but because of the domestic nature of this incident we don’t have any evidence to believe that anybody in the general public is at risk,” said Kent Police lieutenant Michael Lewis.
As of Wednesday afternoon, Lewis said the department cannot confirm if the suspect is still in the Kent area but are focused on locating and apprehending him. He said more information is not being released at this time.
