For this week’s episode, Joey and his ladies spent the week in Montreal, Canada. So, Bachelor nation, let’s recap the important stuff, eh?
Awkward dancing and romancing: The group date
The girls and Joey began their week with a group date enjoying the city. They tasted french foods and danced in the streets, while tensions continued to rise over feelings for Joey.
This was a very weak group date, as the group didn’t do any real activity.
The real tea comes at the cocktail party. Throughout the day, Jess had been very emotional and jealous, as her feelings for Joey developed but her time with Joey was limited.
At the cocktail party, Jess asked to speak to Joey, where she admitted to falling in love with Joey.
Joey’s response? The feelings are not mutual, and he walked her out.
I can’t say I’m sad to see Jess go – she’s been causing problems since day one.
Lexi also conversated with Joey, where she began asking the tough questions. Joey explained his current plan for after the show – a two-to-three-year engagement, a few years of marriage, and eventually, kids.
For Lexi, her chance to have kids is limited due to endometriosis. This is a case of right person, wrong time, in my opinion. Lexi chose to leave the show later in the episode due to the conflict of plans.
Jenn received the group date rose, securing her spot in next week’s episode.
A dizzy date
Kelsey T. was chosen for the first one-on-one date of the week.
Joey and Kelsey T. have a strong physical connection (if you can’t tell by how often she tries to make out with him), but do they have an emotional connection? This date will hopefully reveal that.
The pair got the chance to participate in Cirque du Soleil training, which resulted in Joey getting extremely dizzy. He did not look like he enjoyed the training. I thought the pair hit it off well, but it seems very surface level to me.
I predict she will be off the show at the next rose ceremony, but for now, she secured her spot for next week with a rose.
Maria in Montreal
Maria, the Canada native, was chosen for the second one-on-one date. The couple headed to a boutique where Maria tried a variety of unique dresses on for Joey. Her dress of choice? A long gold sequined gown.
Following the boutique, they headed to a helicopter, where they got a gorgeous view of the city. Throughout this date, Maria let her walls drop a lot. She let go of the tough girl shell crack, revealing her emotions and looking very in love with Joey.
The night ended in dancing and a rose.
The couple certainly has chemistry, but can Joey handle a girl like Maria? Time will tell.
The rose ceremony: two down, two to go
Due to both Lexi and Jess exiting the show before the ceremony, only three roses were handed out. The cocktail party before the ceremony was uneventful and drama free, which was refreshing to see.
Joey said goodbye to Lea and Katelyn. Katelyn was a sweetheart. Lea? Not so much. Can’t say I’m sad to see her go.
The ladies (including both Kelsey’s, yay) are headed to Jasper, Canada, for Week Six.
