Daniel Osborn Dyer, age 79, of Hudson, Ohio, passed away Friday, May 10, 2024. Beloved husband of Joyce Dyer; loving father of Stephen Osborn Dyer (Melissa Beth McGowan Dyer); caring grandfather of Logan Thomas Dyer and Carson William Daniel Dyer; dear brother of Richard Morgan Dyer (Philip Sweeney), Edward Davis Dyer (Janice McCormick); and uncle to Richard C. Dyer and Nicoleta Dyer.

Dan was a teacher at Harmon Middle School in Aurora and Western Reserve Academy in Hudson. A voracious reader and a writer of books, columns, essays and reviews, he also enjoyed baking sourdough bread, traveling, telling family stories, biking, running, watching the Rockford Files and climbing the Chilkoot Trail. Most of all, he loved laughter and spending time with family, students and friends.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
