There have been many notable celebrity endorsements throughout the presidential campaign, but it was hard to keep track of them all.
As the campaigns wind down and the final results loom closer, here are some of the most memorable endorsements.
Taylor Swift’s endorsement of Kamala Harris was posted Sept. 10 on Instagram.
The post is four paragraphs and states, “Like many of you, I watched the debate tonight … I will be casting my vote for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz in the 2024 Presidential Election. I’m voting for Kamala Harris because she fights for the rights and causes I believe need a warrior to champion them.”
Since Swift has a very loyal fanbase, this endorsement was one that did not go unnoticed.
Elon Musk has been publicly supporting Donald Trump, attending and hosting multiple rallies to promote his presidential campaign. One of his biggest endorsements was in July 2024 on his social media site, X. Musk stated, “I fully endorse President Trump and hope for his rapid recovery.”
Billie Eilish and her brother Finneas O’Connell posted a video on Instagram describing their support for Harris. The video depicts Eilish telling fans to vote for Harris at one of her most recent concerts.
In the caption, Eilish wrote, “Don’t let anyone tell you your voice and your vote don’t matter!! VOTE FOR KAMALA HARRIS.”
Influencer Jake Paul published an 18 minute Youtube video on Oct. 31 endorsing Trump. The video has just over 435,000 views.
“I want to provide information to the potentially undecided voter, the things that I have seen over the past couple of years that have led me in a certain direction,” Paul stated in the video.
Katy Perry first endorsed Harris in 2020, praising Joe Biden for making Harris his Vice President. Perry has continuously supported Harris during the 2024 campaign, and her most recent Instagram post shows Perry and Harris together in a video.
“I’m with one of my favorite senators,” Perry said. “She’s gonna be … well … we’re the only ones who can finish this sentence.”
Joe Rogan made a last minute endorsement through an X post. Rogan endorsed Trump by explaining how his alliance with Musk compelled him to cast his vote for Trump this year.
“The great and powerful Elon Musk … He makes what I think is the most compelling case for Trump you’ll hear, and I agree with him every step of the way. For the record, yes, that’s an endorsement of Trump,” the post said.
Forbes created a list of additional celebrities who have publicly endorsed each one of the candidates.
Additional supporters for Harris include Lady Gaga, Oprah Winfrey, Viola Davis, Mick Jagger, Will.I.Am. and Dick Van Dyke.
Additional supporters for Trump include Nicky Jam, Mel Gibson, Randi Mahomes, Zachary Levi, Kid Rock and Danica Patrick.
Election results are just around the corner and will show just how substantial or insubstantial endorsements can be to a presidential candidate.
