Kent can expect its share of snow this week.
The National Weather Service has issued a lake-effect snow warning for Portage County as an Arctic front crosses the region tonight.
As much as 10 inches of snow may hit the region from 4 p.m. Wednesday to 4 a.m. Friday. An initial band of heavy snow will likely drop an inch or two on the region.
During the storm, driving conditions may quickly worsen with visibility at ¼ mile or less.
Wind gusts reaching 45 miles per hour could further complicate travel in the region and damage property.
The Ohio Department of Transportation and Ohio Turnpike and Infrastructure Commission strongly encourage motorists to heed all travel restrictions.
The warning also covers Cuyahoga, Lake, Geauga, Summit and Trumbull counties.
