The shops in downtown Kent have everything you need to celebrate this Valentine’s Day from KentWired.com on Vimeo.
Last-minute shoppers who are trying to find a gift for their valentine can visit the shops in downtown Kent.
“We don’t have any cards that say ‘Happy Valentine’s Day.’ None of them are generic,” said Jessica Ryan, owner of Handcrafted. “So the perk of shopping here is that you’re able to tell them, ‘Happy Valentine’s Day’ by saying things like ‘I love you more than hot sauce.'”
With Valentine’s Day around the corner, many shops have featured items and specials for the holiday season.
“The what I love about you book is really, really popular,” said Lysa Anderson, employee at Red Letter Days. “We’ve got everything from letter press cards to pop culture cards, The Office — Jim and Pam. Hilarious.”
However, it is not just the cards that has everyone hyped up — many people are coming into Red Letter Days for its unique socks.
“For one the socks are really, really funny. And two, it’s just people really love socks. It’s not really what you expect,” said Anderson.
But if you’re more traditional, you will still find something ideal for you.
McKay Bricker Framing has a special discount on its black squirrel stuffed animals that come with a Valentine’s Day ribbon.
“We have jewelry, which is always a good gift suggestion and custom-made handbags,” said Keri Delcos, McKay Bricker Framing employee.
And for those with a sweet tooth, it would not be Valentine’s Day without some sugar or maybe even some chocolate covered popcorn — Popped’s best seller.
