Kent State’s online Masters of Business Administration (MBA) program ranked 90th in the nation, according to U.S. News & World Report.

Kent State tied with 10 other universities. Kent’s online MBA program began in Fall 2017, with this being the first year the program was eligible for ranking.

Cathy DuBois, the associate dean for graduate online programs at the College of Business Administration, said she wasn’t surprised by the ranking.

“(The course has) really been designed to be accessible to anyone,” DuBois said. “We find that that’s a high priority for us because we believe everyone should have master’s level education available to them.”

The ranking uses five categories in their ranking system: student excellence, expert opinion, engagement, student services and technology and faculty credentials and training.

Cleveland State University tied with Kent State, the University of Cincinnati ranked 66th place and Ohio University ranked 82nd place.

Indiana University and the University of North Carolina were tied for first, while Carnegie Mellon University ranked third, followed by the University of Florida and the University of Southern California.
