Kent State Panhellenic and Interfraternity Council announce 2019 presidents
November 20, 2018
After a semester of preparation, Kent State’s Panhellenic and Interfraternity Council each announced their new presidents for the 2018-19 term.
The councils appointed Jared Carello, a political science major and member of Phi Kappa Alpha, and Katie Beatty, a biochemistry major and current president of Alpha Phi.
Carello served on IFC as director of risk and reduction last semester and is excited for the new responsibility.
“I want to continue doing good work and take a look at fraternity life from a leadership perspective,” Carello said. “I’m just excited what improvements can be made.”
Beatty said her goal is “to unify all Panhellenic community as a whole.” She is most excited about working with IFC and InterGreek Council (IGC) presidents in order to strengthen the relationships between the three organizations.
The two are scheduled to start their new positions in January 2019.
