Kent police said a woman was reportedly sexually assaulted Thursday morning on Holly Drive between Holly Park Apartments and Horning Road.

She was approached by a man wearing a mask who assaulted her before he fled northbound when a vehicle approached.

It’s not known if a weapon was involved in the assault.

The Kent Police Department is asking anyone with information to contact it at 330-673-7732.

Kent State sent out a FlashLine announcement that said, “The safety of our community is our top priority,” and encouraged students to take common sense safety precautions.
