Downtown Gallery to hold Planned Parenthood benefit auction
June 26, 2017
Kent State School of Art’s Downtown Gallery is hosting You, Me, Us, We, a silent auction and art exhibition benefiting Planned Parenthood of Ohio, on Thursday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
The gallery, located at 141 East Main St., is providing two auction preview dates for interested buyers on Tuesday and Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The school plans to use the benefit to raise awareness and unite people for a common cause.
Allison Smith, a textile graduate student, said she thinks the event will accomplish these goals.
“It’s really a great thing,” Smith said. “All of the proceeds are going to Planned Parenthood, and it’s just a great opportunity to get out and do something good.”
