Mid-American Conference releases schedule for upcoming season

The Mid-American Conference released its 2017 football schedule Wednesday with the dates of Kent State’s conference matchups.
The Flashes will begin the conference with a Sept. 30 game against Buffalo. The conference opener will be part of Parents and Families Weekend.
Start times have not been determined, but the Flashes will play in the evening in each of its last four games.
Kent State will host Bowling Green Oct. 31 on ESPN2 or ESPNU. Kent State will again host a game on ESPN2 or ESPNU Nov. 14 when the Flashes face-off with Central Michigan at Dix Stadium.
Dix Stadium will host Miami on Oct. 14 in Kent State’s final Saturday home game.
The Flashes will be visitors in the battle for the Wagon Wheel when they take on Akron in the season finale Nov. 21 at InfoCision Stadium.
Kent State will open up on Sept. 2 at Clemson to take on the defending national champions. On Sept. 23 the Flashes will travel to Louisville to take on the Cardinals and Heisman Trophy winner Lamar Jackson.
The Golden Flashes held their first spring semester practice Wednesday.
