Police investigate bomb threat prior to Jay-Z, Clinton concert
November 4, 2016
An entry to the Hillary Clinton campaign-sponsored rally — where Jay-Z is set to perform — in Cleveland was closed around 6:10 p.m. on Friday after Cleveland Police investigated a suspicious package.
All rally attendees were required to walk through metal detectors and have all bags searched. It was during a routine search that the entry at Carnegie and East 21st Street was closed.
Police and secret security required everyone clear the premises. The Cleveland Bomb Squad was called to the scene and the entry was remained closed upon investigation.
No additional information is available at this time. Attendees were permitted into the Wolstein Center through alternative entrances.
The Get Out The Vote rally is being hosted in support of democratic nominee Hillary Clinton.
