Talking about sex with PRIDE! Kent
October 19, 2016
To continue with Kent Interhall Council’s annual Sex Week, PRIDE! Kent will be hosting “Let’s talk about sex with PRIDE! Kent” in Bowman Hall room 113 on Friday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
The event will discuss sex and sexual stereotypes in the LBGT community.
“This event is an opportunity for all Kent State students to be educated about the stereotypes surrounding the LGBTQ+ community and how they are harmful,” said Gabrielle Cooper, president of PRIDE! Kent.
Cooper said there will be conversation about college students exploring their sexuality, stereotypes in gay/lesbian porn and the fetishizing of lesbianism sex.
“It’ll be a great place to discover terms that may fit a person who is questioning their sexuality, too,” Cooper said. “Sex is a big part of college, and to stay safe we will be displaying different types of contraceptives.”
