District-level delegate Sarah Brown is set to attend the 2016 Republican National Convention in Cleveland from July 18-21. 

Brown is one of the 66 Ohio delegates pledged to support John Kasich, though Kasich suspended his campaign on May 4. Brown is apart of Ohio’s 13th Congressional District which includes Mahoning, Portage, Stark, Summit, and Trumbull counties. The District’s representative is Democrat Tim Ryan. The Kent Stater reached to Brown and has yet to receive a respond. 

Other delegates include Stark County Commissioner Janet Weir Creighton and state representative Kirk Schuring. Creighton will be attending her fourth convention and will be one of 1,543 delegates supporting the presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump. 

“I’m sure this is going to be completely different than the past ones I’ve attended,” Creighton said in an article for the indeonline.com. “He will probably put a different spin on the convention that’s been had by established politicians.”
