Kent State redshirt junior Jimmy Hall plans enter his name into the NBA Draft,  but will not sign with an agent—making him still eligible to return to Kent State in the fall.

A change to the NCAA rulebook allows college basketball players more time to go through NBA pre-draft evaluations and return to college. Hall must decide by May 25 to withdraw his name from consideration.

“Playing in the NBA has been a dream of mine since I was young, and I am grateful for Kent State for giving me this opportunity to test the draft process,” Hall said. “Since I will not be hiring an agent I will be able to receive valuable feedback from teams while still having the option to play my senior season as a Golden Flash.”

Hall averaged a team-high 16.4 points and 7.9 rebounds per game and has earned first team All-Mid-American Conference honors the past two seasons.

“If he’s not in the NBA, he’ll be one of the best players in the league,” Coach Rob Senderoff said.
