Many people saw Super Tuesday as a big opportunity for Republican candidates to gain ground on current front runner Donald Trump.

Ohio Governor John Kasich was once again unsuccessful in winning any of the states and it raises the question of his future in this presidential race.

Kent State’s president of College Republicans Jennifer Hutchinson said, “it’s going to be big for Kasich. If he’s able to take both Michigan and Ohio that’s going to win him, I believe, about 125 delegates which I don’t know if that’s really enough to put him ahead of Trump but it’s definitely enough to help him perhaps take a lead over Cruz and certainly Rubio.”

Next up for the Republican candidates is a GOP debate in Detroit on Thursday night and the Kentucky, Kansas, and Maine caucuses are on Saturday.
