Men’s golf falls to twelfth after second round

Men’s golf fell three spots on the leaderboard after the first day of the Valspar Collegiate Invitational yesterday. The team ended the day 28 over par.
Leading the men this tournament are sophomore Chase Johnson and freshman Gisli Sveinbergsson. Both ended their first day five over par and are tied for 21st place.
Junior Josh Whalen ended his second round eight over par and is tied for 47th place. Sophomore Ian Holt finished ten over, and junior Tyler McHugh shot 24 over par to end his second round.
The team is among 14 other teams ranked in the top 50 and are leading top-ten teams. The Flashes will finish the invitational today.
