Women’s golf finishes strong, tie for fifth

Kent State scored the best final round of any team playing in the Briar’s Creek Invitational Tuesday shooting four under par. Senior Taylor Kim led the team with a fifth place tie and four under par.
Junior Wad Phaewchimplee tied for 13th place shooting one over par. Senior Joseé Doyon had a strong finish in South Carolina scoring two under par and six over par to finish the tournament.
Freshman Michaela Finn shot seven over par to finish out the invitational. Senior Amira Alexander ended her third round one under par, and 14 over par overall.
The team’s next tournament is the Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic April 1-3 in Athens, Georgia.
