The Kent State Women’s basketball team will be on the road tonight to take on Miami of Ohio.
The four and 15 Flashes are looking for their first road win of the season against the eight and eleven Redhawks.
While the Redhawks sit at two and six in the conference, Kent sits right behind them in the East at just one and eight.
The ladies will look to top-scorers Jordan Korinek and the MAC East Player of the Week Larissa Lurken to lead the team on the road.
Tip-off is at 7pm, on ESPN 3 in Miami OH.
And at the same time tonight, the Cleveland Cavaliers will be on the road again to try and continue their winning ways against the Hornets.
The Cavs have won five straight games under new head coach Tyronne Lue, and are 1-0 on the season against Charlotte.
Kyrie Irving, Kevin Love, and Lebron James all scored over 20 points in the last two games for the Cavs, and will work to extend their lead at the top of the Eastern Conference.
Tip-off is at 7 PM in Charlotte.
Today is also signing day at Universities all around the country.
Kent State added 14 High School Seniors to the mix this off-season, with a few notable flashes for next season’s team.
Miles Daniel, Kion Holder, and Jamal Parker are all two-star recruits that will be joining the Flashes in the fall.
Daniel and Parker are defensive backs, while Kion Holder is an outside linebacker.
The Flashes could definitely use their help on the defensive side of the ball, for a team that gave up 26 points per game in 2015.
Some of our Friday Football Frenzy regulars are going to big-name schools in the fall.
Defensive tackle Bryce Hargrove signed his national letter of intent to the University of Pittsburgh.
The 6’6”, 265 pound 3 star recruit signed this morning with his family present.
Other Coventry football recruits include quarterback Jaret Skaggs to Malone University and wide receiver Dominic Pegley to Youngstown State University.
I for one, cannot wait to see how they will do at the collegiate level.
