The University library will hold a “How to Protect Your Digital Identity” workshop on Sept. 29 from 9:15-10:30 a.m about ways to protect privacy online and prevent identity theft.

“The damage caused by identity theft impacts every aspect of a person’s life,” said Tom Mahon, the manager of Training and Outreach at Kent State. “Identity theft is a very real threat, that the effect is extremely devastating.

Mahon reassures students there are some precautions that can be taken to reduce the risk of identity theft.

Students and faculty are welcome to come to this free interactive workshop in room 152. Students may receive 100 FLASHperks points. Computers will be available to use, but it’s suggested to bring your own laptop or tablet to explore with.
