The Kent State Museum is roaring about its upcoming exhibit, Flapper Style: 1920s Fashion.

The new exhibit will be open to the public on Friday, Sept. 25 and will continue to be opened for the duration of the year until Sept. 4, 2016.

Through the exhibit, patrons will be able to experience the glamour and style-altering generation of the 1920’s.

Museum Curator Sara Hume has done several exhibits for the museum throughout the years. Through this new collection she produced, visitors will enter the lively youth culture that evolved the way women’s fashion and lifestyle was perceived.

“The flapper is characterized to be a symbol of change for women at the end of the first World War,” said Kimberly Morelli, a fashion design major, “I’m really excited to see the collection and the different designs it’s going to have.”

The Kent State Museum is free to all Kent State students, staff and faculty, and general admission is $5. The museum also has four other exhibits that guests can walk through and experience.
