Kent Police Department officials said there is no update on the homicide that took place at Lincolnwood Terrace, an off-campus apartment complex, earlier this month.

Lt. Michael Lewis said the investigation is ongoing, and he said he could not comment on whether or not there are any suspects.

Resident Franklin Benedict, 26, was found dead from gunshot wounds at 12:23 p.m. on Wednesday, July 8.

Kent Police requested assistance from the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation.

According to his Facebook page, Benedict was from Ashtabula and worked at Wal-Mart.

Lincolnwood Terrace is off of South Lincoln Street past Summit Street.
