Kent State is considering having future commencement ceremonies outdoors at Dix Stadium.

Lashonda Taylor, director of university ceremonies, events and special programs, said her office is currently in the research phase of the project with a decision expected in early 2017.

She said feedback from student groups and faculty has been mostly positive.

The ceremony would be held at the stadium for all main campus students, Taylor said.
