May 4 Visitors Center to present special showing of ‘Dick Cavett’s Vietnam’
April 28, 2015
The May 4 Visitors Center will host special showing of “Dick Cavett’s Vietnam” and a discussion in celebration of 45th Annual May 4 Commemoration.
The event will take place in Room 177 of The Schwartz Center on April 30 at 7:30 p.m.
Documentary filmmaker John Scheinfeld and Timothy Naftali, head of Tamiment Library and Robert F. Wagner Labor Archives at New York University, will lead the discussion.
Mindy Farmer, director of the May 4 Visitors Center, said Dick Cavett was an important figure in the history of broadcast and in the United States.
“I hope participants come away with a better understanding of the period and the dates and just a better understanding of the ‘60s and ‘70s which we work hard at the May 4 Center to recreate,” Farmer said.
The event is open to the general public.
