USG conducted a public forum for its election candidates Monday night in The Nest. The forum served as a platform for candidates to voice their agendas and it acted as a meet and greet to familiarize candidates with voters before the elections on March 10. 

Each candidate spoke to the elections commission, a panel consisting of five board members. Candidates then answered various questions regarding their campaign in front of the judges and their peers. Tyler Bayer, director of Student Involvement, is serving as the rules coordinator for the elections and spoke about the importance of the forum.

“In the past, we’ve always had an issue reaching out to people and letting them know who the candidates are,” Bayer said. “The forum really helps people know what the candidates want to do and why they’re qualified for the positions.”
