Student learn new skills at TechStyleLAB workshop
October 30, 2014
The TechStyleLAB will be hosting a “Laser Cut Acrylic” workshop on Oct. 31, 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Rockwell Hall.
Prerna Suri, graduate fashion student and graduate assistant in the TechStyleLAB will teach this workshop. It is a two-part program that begins with a presentation followed by one-on-one time when participants can create something of their own, Suri said.
“I will teach students how to make a two by two inch design on Adobe Illustrator and how to use the laser machine,” Suri said. “Students will be able to make their design with the laser cut machine and take it home with them.”
This workshop is open to all students, but there is a $5 material fee that covers material used during the workshop. Additional workshops on various topics will continue throughout the semester.
