Kent State’s women’s basketball team’s head coach Todd Starkey tested positive for COVID-19.
Allen Moff of The Record Courier reported the news last night after the team’s game against Northern Illinois scheduled for Wednesday was postponed earlier Tuesday.
The Flashes entered a COVID-19 related pause in late November that resulted in the cancelation of some non-conference games.
The team is currently riding a four game winning streak and its last game was a 67-61 road win over Eastern Michigan University (4-4, 1-2 MAC) .
The Flashes (4-2, 3-0 MAC) next game is Saturday, Jan. 9 at noon at the M.A.C.C. against Ball State University (4-2, 3-0 MAC) with associate head coach Fran Recchia leading the team.
