From abroad to employed
September 16, 2014
Former study abroad students were provided with tips on how to professionally utilize their experiences abroad at the “Marketing Your International Experience” event hosted by Ediz Kaykayoglu, the assistant director of education abroad, in Van Campen Hall Tuesday, Sept. 16.
Kaykayoglu presented students with detailed examples on how to fully benefit from their overseas experience.
“Not everyone studies abroad,” said Kaykayogul. “At Kent State last year 817 students out of about 41,000 studied abroad.”
The event informed returning study abroad students on how to incorporate important details, experiences and skills obtained from studying abroad into future interviews and resumes.
Kaykayoglu also spoke to returning study abroad students on how to utilize their study abroad experience when networking and applying to grad school.
