Brian D. Sicknick, a member of the U.S. Capitol Police, died Thursday night from injuries suffered during Wednesday’s storming of the Capitol. Prosecutors in the U.S. Attorney’s office plan to open a federal murder investigation into his death, a law enforcement official told CNN.
