The Portage County sheriff is investigating a fatal shooting that occurred at 11:32 a.m. at 695 Johnson Rd. involving two juveniles.

 The shooting occurred in Franklin Township, within a mile of Kent Roosevelt High School.

 Deputies found that the 11-year-old male was dead on arrival, and the suspect, also a juvenile, is cooperating with the investigation.

 Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation is investigating the event, but preliminary reports indicate that it “looks like an accidental shooting,” Portage County Sheriff David Doak said.
