Filmmaker Ken Burns to speak at the MAC April 22

Documentary filmmaker Ken Burns will speak at the MAC Center April 22 at 7:30 p.m. as part of the Presidential Speaker Series as well as the Symposium on Democracy.
Free tickets to see Burns speak are now available on kentstate.universitytickets.com, and the general public is invited to watch the event. Special seating is also available for $15.
Burns earned 12 Emmy awards and was nominated for two Oscars in his 30 years of producing films. His most famous work includes “The Civil War,” which was the highest rated series in the history of American Public Television. The series drew 40 million viewers in 1990 as well as more than 40 awards and honors.
Burns is currently working on documentaries on Jackie Robinson, the Gettysburg Address, the Vietnam War and the history of country music. He is currently producing “The Roosevelts: An Intimate History.”
