A suspect is in custody after a body was found by Portage County Sheriff’s deputies at Storer Suites in Franklin Township on Friday.

John R. Fox, age 34, was wanted in connection with the murder of a missing person from Alliance. Alliance police said the missing person was Justin Earley, 22. Earley was last seen on Dec. 30. The Portage County Sheriff’s Office believes Earley was killed in Fox’s residence on Dec. 30.

The Ravenna Police Department found Fox walking along Hayes Road and took him into custody without incident.

The crime scene is located at the Storer Suites apartments on East Main Street, between DrugMart and Campus Pointe Apartments. Numerous sheriff’s deputies were present at the scene early Friday evening, as well as the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigations. The parking lot of the complex was blocked off as part of the crime scene.
