The Kent State College of Business Administration will feature professor Amy Cuddy, as the opening keynote speaker for the annual Spirit of Women in Business Conference on Wednesday March 5.

Cuddy is giving a TED talk. TED, according to the website, is a nonprofit organization devoted to advancing “Ideas Worth Spreading.” It holds conferences that bring people from technology, entertainment and design together.

Mashable.com, a news technology and social media blog, named Cuddy’s presentation “Your Body Language Shapes Who You Are” one of the “15 TED Talks That Will Change Your Life.”

“We are honored to have Dr. Amy Cuddy as the opening keynote speaker at the Spirit of Women in Business Conference,” Deborah Spake, dean of the College of Business Administration at Kent State, said in a press release.

“The Today Show,” CNN, MSNBC, The New York Times, Harvard Magazine and The Wall Street Journal have featured her work, and in 2013, Business Insider named Cuddy one of the 50 Women Who Are Changing the World.

The luncheon keynote speaker is Farai Chideya, award-winning reporter for Newsweek magazine, political analyst for CNN, reporter and guest host for ABC News and host for NPR.
