Second chance to check out Thai fashion Wednesday
November 20, 2013
People who missed the Thai Fashion Show on Monday, a part of International Education Week, will have the opportunity to see it Wednesday, Nov. 20.
Kent State’s Office of Global Education hosts International Education Week. The events began on Nov. 18 and will continue through Nov. 22.
“(The Thai Fashion Show) is our only event that we have that really focuses on fashion,” said Alana Baudo, an intern at the Office of Global Education. “It’s a good opportunity for students in (the fashion) program to see what the fashion is like in other countries.”
Ratchneewan Ross, an associate professor at the College of Nursing and a native of Thailand, coordinated the fashion show.
“We just hope that students can take away a little bit of an understanding of another country’s culture,” Baudo said.
The show will be in Henderson Hall in the third floor faculty lounge from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. The Thai fashion show is free for anyone interested.
