The Kent State University Planetarium will present a series to the public at 8 p.m. April 12, 13, and 19 called Cosmic Beginnings. The shows are free and open to the public.

“They can expect to learn about the night sky at this time of year and about planets and stars and things like that, that you can see with the naked eye, and we’ll talk about constellations and the stories of constellations,” said Brett Ellman, associate professor in the physics department. “And then we’re going to talk about new stars being born, stars dying, and stars being reborn, new galaxies forming and planets being born.”

Ellman also said that the show is very child-friendly, although the planetarium recommends that the children be six years or older.

The planetarium also suggests that members of the public reserve their spots at (330) 672-2246 because of the popularity of the shows.
