A robbery occurred at FirstMerit Bank on state Route 59 Thursday at around 3:45 p.m. The robber was described as a skinny Caucasian male, about 5 feet 10 inches tall wearing dark clothing. His face was covered with a multicolored scarf and sunglasses, according to the Portage County Sheriff’s Department. The robber handed a note to the teller and fled with an undisclosed amount of money.
