Kent State Independent films to host open casting calls

Kent State University Independent Films is hosting an open casting call for their upcoming feature film “Hell at Heathridge.”
“Hell at Heathridge” is a horror/thriller film that takes place in a college setting. This production is a full-length feature, and the filming will take place this summer.
Auditions will be held in Oscar Ritchie Hall in Room 230 at the following dates and times:
March 9 and 10
9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
March 12 and 14
2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Buddy Candela, assistant casting director for the film, said they are looking for actors and actresses over 18.
Actors and actresses are required to have two copies of their resume. Character dialogue and descriptions will be provided at the audition. Performing a short monologue is optional.
“I am really excited about this production,” Candela said. “This film is a very unique horror film, and I’m excited to see how it will turn out once it is finished.”
Students and faculty members, as well as actors outside of Kent State, are welcome to participate in the open casting call.
