Students for Justice in Palestine Israeli Apartheid Week
March 6, 2013
Kent State Students for Justice in Palestine will continue its series of events for Israeli Apartheid Week with Apartheid Wall Demo event Wednesday.
The event is an all-day affair on the “K” in Risman Plaza outside the Kent State Student Center.
There will be a screening of the documentary “5 Broken Cameras” at 6 p.m., Thursday in Room 317 of the Student Center. The documentary is a personal, first-hand account of life and non-violent resistance in Bil’in, a West Bank village surrounded by Israeli settlements, according to Kino Lorber’s website.
IAW is an annual international week of events recognized in cities and campuses across the world. According to the Israel Apartheid Week website, the events are to educate people about Israel’s apartheid policies toward the Palestinians and to build support for the Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions against Israel campaign.

Why does your organization never discuss sanctions against Hamas? The rights of women and minorities. The responsibility of Palestinians to not use their jobs in Israel as a research opportunity to plan the rape, mutilation and murder of innocent civilians. Why doesn’t your organization ask Hamas to free Palestine of its murderous ways and seek peace that could lead to a two state solution. Why? Because SJP is aligned with and supports Hamas. That is why. Students beware and be aware of what you condone!
