Kappa Sigma pledge class hosts Easter egg hunt
March 18, 2013
Pledges of Kappa Sigma are hosting an Easter egg hunt from 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Kappa Sigma House, 1375 W. Campus Center Dr.
The Easter egg hunt is a fundraising event for the Fisher House Foundation and is open to the public.
“Donations are being added to the Greek Music Awards total, which is Kappa Sigma’s annual philanthropy event and took place on Saturday, March 16,”said T.J. Ewing, freshman biotechnology major and a Kappa Sigma pledge in charge of the event. “The Fisher House is an organization that builds houses and gives housing to wounded veterans and their families so families can be around veterans during their recovery.”
The cost to search for eggs is $5.
“The way it works is people will come in and pay their $5,” said Domenic Cicchinelli, freshman political science major and president of the Kappa Sigma pledge class. “If you give $5, you can find five eggs. A lot of eggs will just have candy in them, but some will have numbers in them. If you find a number in your egg, there are donated baskets you can win.”
Participants can donate an additional $5 to win a TV. Open donations will also be accepted.
