SLIS and Child Development Center Children’s Reading
February 21, 2013
The School of Library and Information Sciences will host a book reading for Child Development Center students Friday.
Flo Cunningham, SLIS marketing communications and public relations specialist, said the Child Development Center works with SLIS to allow the children to be exposed to a library setting.
“They don’t have a library over at CDC,” Cunningham said. “They bring the kids here to see what story time in the library is like.”
Cunningham said the reading is informal and isn’t an “official” event.
“The kids come, we give them a little snack, read to them and let them watch a movie,” she said. “They have a fun time.”
The closed reading will take place in the SLIS Reinberger Children’s Library Center.
