More than 50 people came forward stating they were sexually abused at Catholic schools in Pennsylvania and Ohio. All of the accounts said Franciscan Brother Stephen Baker was the source of the abuse. The new accusers said they were abused between 1982 and 2007. Baker killed himself on Jan. 26 by stabbing himself in the heart at a Pennsylvanian monastery.

Raul Castro accepted a new five-year term, but said it will be his last as Cuba’s president. The 82-year-old leader of the Communist Party became president in 2008 after his brother, Fidel Castro, became too ill to lead the country. The Cuban parliament reconvened Sunday and named Raul Castro to a new term, however, there was a possibility that a younger man would be named. Castro talked about possible retirement Friday.

The black SUV involved in the shooting and crash that killed three people on the Las Vegas Strip was found Saturday. Police have named 26-year-old Ammar Harris as their prime suspect in the incident. Police are still searching for Harris. The deaths and crash occurred Thursday near the Bellagio and Caesars Palace.

Italians will vote in parliamentary elections Sunday and Monday. The results could shape the future of one of Europe’s biggest economies. The outcome of this election could change Italy’s massive debt crisis either for the better or worse. Italy’s economic failure would drag down other the economies of other European Union members.
