Brimfield School District increases school security
January 18, 2013
School security and gun protection are at the forefront of all media outlets and most politicians minds. The recent school tragedy in Newtown, Connecticut forced President Obama to take action against gun laws. It also forced many schools throughout the country to increase or alter their school security. The Field School District is just one of the local schools taking iniciative to keep its students safe. The school is adding a second school resource officer to its district as well as video cameras, panic buttons, concrete bollards in front of the main doors and implementing The A.L.I.C.E program. Police Officer Kelly Sonagere says that the faculty and staff will be trained first and then all the kids in the district will learn A.L.I.C.E.
