Kent State’s Salem Campus will hold a radiology information session at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday for current and future students in room 134.

This session is aimed at students interested in applying for an Associate of Applied Science degree in radiologic technology and those interested in a bachelor’s degree in radiologic and imaging sciences, which includes concentrations in computed tomography, nuclear medicine and radiation therapy.

“Program requirements and the curriculum will be discussed as well as descriptions of the professions involved in radiology,” said Jan Gibson, senior director of radiologic technology program at Kent State Salem.

Gibson said students who attend this informative meeting will receive two points towards their admission into the program. During the session, students will learn about requirements and curriculum involved.

“Approximately 80 people apply to the associate degree in radiologic technology,” Gibson said. “And only 23 people are selected each year.”

The meeting will include a PowerPoint presentation of x-rays and scans from CT, MRI, nuclear medicine and ultrasound.
